Ich erinnere mich an die Bühne in Singapur, als ich den Weisswurst Kongress präsentierte – in einem Land, in dem die meisten noch nie eine Weisswurst gesehen haben. 😄 Es war verrückt – und genau deshalb ein Erfolg.👉
Mein Wunsch: Geht mutig voran, probiert Neues aus und traut euch, auch mal zu scheitern. Manchmal liegt genau dort der Schlüssel zum Erfolg.

Die Reise neigt sich dem Ende zu, und wie so oft bleibt die Frage: Was nehmen wir mit?
Unsere Delegation, in der ich Philipp Schiede und m-it manage it Magazin vertreten durfte, hat sich in den letzten Tagen in den Straßen von Shenzhen, den Boardrooms von Huawei und den vibrierenden Märkten Hongkongs bewegt. Und dabei sind wir vor allem eines: inspiriert.
Huawei, der Gastgeber dieser Reise, hat sich nicht nur als Technologieriese, sondern auch als Meister der Gastfreundschaft präsentiert. Meetings, die andernorts oft zu PowerPoint-Marathons verkommen, wurden hier zu echten Dialogen. Diskussionen, die von Künstlicher Intelligenz bis zu Lieferketten reichten, fühlten sich nicht an wie Business-Talk, sondern wie ein inspirierender Austausch unter Gleichgesinnten.
China – kein schwarz-weißes Bild
Das Narrativ, das uns in Europa oft serviert wird, zeigt China als den großen Gegenspieler. Doch wer einmal vor Ort war, merkt schnell: Dieses Bild ist so ungenau wie ein Kompass ohne Magnetnadel. In der beeindruckenden Dynamik dieses Landes liegt mehr Potenzial, als uns so manche Schlagzeile glauben machen will.
Es gibt Probleme, keine Frage – Umwelt, Menschenrechte, Datenschutz. Aber dazwischen gibt es auch Menschen, die morgens ihre Kinder zur Schule bringen, Start-ups, die mit uns die Welt verändern wollen, und Unternehmen, die sich fragen, wie wir gemeinsam die Klimakrise bewältigen können.
Die Lektion des Zuhörens
Was uns China gezeigt hat, ist die Kunst des Dialogs. Nicht alles, was glänzt, ist Gold – aber manchmal funkeln genau dort Diamanten, wo wir es nicht erwarten.
Ein bisschen mehr Neugier und weniger vorgefertigte Meinungen könnten helfen, die Beziehung zwischen Europa und China neu zu definieren.
Während ich jetzt zum letzten Mal auf die Skyline von Hongkong blicke, denke ich: Es gibt Orte, die muss man erleben, um sie zu verstehen. Und es gibt Menschen, mit denen muss man reden, um von ihnen zu lernen. China ist beides.
Vielleicht sollten wir öfter über unsere eigenen Grenzen hinausblicken. Und dabei mit etwas mehr Neugier, Charme und Humor aufeinander zugehen – so wie Huawei auf uns zugegangen ist.

Heute durfte ich das kulinarische Herzstück ihres Headquarter erleben: eine Grillstation, die fast schon einem Michelin-Stern gerecht wird. Zwischen zischendem Fleisch, duftenden Gewürzen und Köchen, die ihre Zange fast so präzise wie Ingenieure ihre Tools bedienen, hat sich wieder einmal bestätigt: Netzwerken geht durch den Magen.
